Love should be the cornerstone
to build a home upon,
a love so strong it overflows
to patio and lawn.
Each wall should echo laughter
up and down each hall,
and memories as sweet as wine
should linger wall to wall.
Faith should be the foundation
wherein the structure stands
against the sudden storms of life
from near and distant lands.
The mortar should be mixed with hope
to last a thousand years,
and prayer should be the insulation
against life's doubts and fears.
A home should be a dwelling place
where God is warmly known…
